Water's Edge

With so many design topics, where to begin?

After much thought, I decided to root for the underdog - mid-century modern! While we won't be on this topic forever, I do plan to post a few entries on it! My decision was inspired by the bravery of my sister-in-law who took her 1950's ranch house and made it cool again! Shout out to you, Dana Lynn!

This chair was my great-aunt's. I've always loved it, but it's never fit with my decor. It has great color and style, but just as importantly, it has sentimentality and memories.

Now it's found a home at Dana Lynn's. It works perfectly in her living area and brings a smile to my face every time I see it! Nothing says home like a family heirloom. I'd encourage you to find a piece, even a small one that brings back positive memories and incorporate it into your home!

DDesign can take many forms.  It can be the architecture, materials, colors, textures, CAD designs, hand designs...  Regardless of its form, design is beauty.  Design is creation.  In each of my designs, the goal is to not only create a practical functional space, but one that is enjoyed by all.  One that brings welcome, serenity, and peace...  like the water's edge.
